The Young Scholars and Arts Education Workshop supports young researchers and arts education practitioners in transforming teaching cases, creative practice, and field materials into clearer research questions, presentation structures, and development plans.

Program Information

Positioning

A research training and practice transformation workshop for young scholars.

Participants

Young scholars, graduate students, arts education practitioners, and new members.

Training Focus

Research topics, case writing, material organization, presentation, and peer feedback.

Outputs

Research plans, case outlines, presentation materials, and revision suggestions.

Background

Many young researchers have rich practice-based materials but need support in framing research questions, organizing cases, and presenting academic ideas. The workshop helps participants move from experience description to problem awareness, method explanation, and outcome presentation.

Workshop Process

  1. Research question framing to define topic boundaries, objects, and key concepts.
  2. Material organization covering images, interviews, course records, and project process documents.
  3. Case writing practice on background, methods, findings, reflection, and value statements.
  4. Presentation rehearsal to improve structure, visual materials, and timing.
  5. Expert and peer feedback leading to revised research plans and outcome outlines.

Participant Value

  • Transform practice experience into clearer research questions and case structures.
  • Receive concrete suggestions on topics, materials, and communication methods.
  • Prepare initial texts for forum presentations, project applications, or showcases.
  • Promising cases may enter future young scholar support programs of the Society.

Documentation

Workshop outcomes will be further refined by participants. The Society may recommend strong cases for forum exchange, research projects, or event reporting.
